This pendant will be available from late October – preorders are welcome.
This fine piece of jewellery is inspired by the Labyrinth of Chartres (world’s most famous and most perfect labyrinth).
Since ancient times, labyrinths were used as paths to initiation and to mark special places. The one at Chartres was built on Pythagorean theories.
The way to the centre of the six-leaved rosette leads through eleven concentric circles (symbolising the eleven spheres) with their 34 turns. On a symbolic level, by walking the labyrinths mystic path one is supposed to find their inner self and to come to god. The wresting turns symbolise our path of life – to proceed, we always have to twist and turn internally.
This pendant shows that the path to one self is never straight but turns, and the goal sometimes seems to move further away as one is travelling. Eventually, we’ll get to a place where no “messenger to god” is necessary, because we have “arrived”.
